Tom Ford - Jasmin Rouge

While digging through some old boxes before my move, I rediscovered a Tom Ford Private Blend mini set I picked up on eBay about 10 years ago. It includes six 12ml bottles — Jasmin Rouge, Oud Wood, Neroli Portofino, Tobacco Vanille, Noir de Noir, and Tuscan Leather. I’m pretty sure I paid around £50 for the whole set back then… it’s now going for about £316 on eBay. Wild.

This morning’s scent is Jasmin Rouge. It’s such a sensual fragrance — rich, heady florals with jasmine and ylang-ylang right at the front. To me, it captures the air of a warm summer evening when jasmine is in full bloom.

There are definitely niche houses doing jasmine fragrances of equal (or even better) quality at far kinder price points, but this vintage TF bottle is still magic. ✨
