Kierin NYC - ScentXone

Last year I finally made it to New York City—a trip I’d been dreaming about for years. I booked a flight, found a place in Manhattan, and set out to make the most of every moment.

Because I knew I wanted a scent to remember the city by, I reached out to Mona Maine de Biran, founder of Kierin NYC, to see if she’d be open to meeting for coffee and talking fragrance. To my surprise and excitement, she said yes. We met on my second day in the city, and it was such a warm, inspiring conversation.

While chatting about the brand, we spent time talking about ScentXone—created by Jérôme Epinette and launched in 2022. It’s a warm, comforting blend of honey and cognac, wrapped in the sweet, herbal dryness of davana. The rich, resinous touch of myrrh adds a smoky appeal, before settling into a woody, earthy patchouli.

I’ve owned many Kierin NYC fragrances, but this one will always stand out. ScentXone is the scent that instantly brings me back to that trip—and that makes it extra special.
